Pilea myriophylla

Glabrous herb which reaches 40 cm or more high. It has a main central stem and numerous branches. Stipules are ovate-triangular, and under 0.5 mm long. It is decidious and the leaves are dense around the branches with internodes less than 5 mm long, appearing in fours on a pair of leaves on very short, secondary branches.
Dimorphic, the large cuneate-obovate leave are up to 6 mm long and 4 mm wide. The smaller orbicular-renllorm leaves are 2 to 3 mm long, 3 to 4 mm wide. Pistillate cymes are 3 mm wide and sessile. The achenes are ovate and l to 1.1 mm long.
