This plant is is a larval host of a sulfur bacteria (USDA, 2011).

It's leaves can fold almost immediately due to touch (USDA, 2011).

Fire ants are attracted to this plant, so caution is advised (USDA, 2011).

One of its uses are for grazing cattle (USDA, 2011).
