Castanea ozarkensis, common name Ozark chinkapin (also spelled chinquapin) and also known as Castanea pumila var. ozarkensis, is a species of tree that because of chestnut blight grows only as a small tree or large shrub in the United States. It is in the Castanea genus that includes chestnuts and types of chestnut known as chinkapins. It grows in the Ozark Mountains and Ouachita Mountains of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
