Flower: White rounded cluster
Leaves: deeply lobed, up to 3½ inches long and 1½ inches wide, progressively smaller as they ascend the stem, become coarsely toothed to nearly toothless at top of plant
Fruit/Seed: set of 4 nutlets forming a square
Height: 6-30 inches
Flowering: July to September
Habitat: along shores, wet meadows
