The sedge wren (Cistothorus platensis) is a small and secretive passerine bird in the Troglodytidae family. It is widely distributed as it can be found in North, Central and South America. However, only the sedge wrens living in North America migrate. They are often found in wet grasslands and meadows where they nest in the tall grasses and sedges and feed on insects .
