Description ²

• Flower: White rounded cluster
• Leaves: palmately compound, 5-7 leaflets, 6 inches long and to 2 inches wide, coarsely toothed or double-toothed, hairless, wedge-shaped at base, widest above the middle, notches or shallow lobes on the tip half
• Fruit/Seed: dry, round to oval, 1/6 inch long, covered in hooked bristles
• Height: 1-4 feet
• Flowering: June - July
• Habitat: deciduous woods, mesic forests
