Flower: White rounded cluster
Leaves: 1 or 2 times compound in 3's, basal and lower stem leaves long stalked, short stalked to stalkless as they ascend stem, short appendage at base of stalk that sheathes the stem. Leaflets; 4 inches long and 2 inches wide, shallowly to deeply lobed, toothed edges, becoming smaller and less lobed as they ascend the stem
Fruit/Seed: narrow seed, 1 inch long, arced slightly, slightly swollen at tip half, covered in appressed hairs
Height: 2-3 feet
Flowering:May - June
Habitat: moist woods
