Description ²

• Flower: White with pink veins simple shaped, 5 petals
• Leaves: single pair, oppositely arranged, 3 inches long and ½ to ¾ inch wide, prominent central vein, smooth edges, taper to a point at tip, taper at base
• Height: 3-6 inches
• Flowering: April - June
• Habitat: moist cool woods
• Other: State Special Concern status
