• Flower: White rounded cluster
• Leaves: 3 to 5 times compound in groups of 3 or 5, leaflets 1 inch long, asymmetrical at rounded base, lateral leaflets stalkless or very short-stalked, terminal leaflet longer stalked, shallowly lobed in 2 or 3 parts, pointed tip, blue-green, hairy underside, basal and lower stem leaves similar and long stalked, uppermost stem leaves stalkless
• Fruit/Seed: clustered dry seed, ¼ inch long, narrowly egg-shaped to elliptical, distinct ribbing, brown stub of pistil at top, dries to dark brown
• Height: 2-8 feet
• Flowering: June - July
• Habitat: edges of woods, thickets, meadows, fens, along shores, wet ditches
