Description 4

Closely related to Sugar maple, apparently they could form hybrids.
Leaf hairy underneath the surface, it feels velvety. Foliage turn bright yellow-orange in the fall.

Ecology 4

Its range is mainly limited to the south if the Great Lakes. Only found in the southern part of QC.
