Nom français: Cardinal rouge

Their song is a ''pew pew pewpewpewpewpew'' and sounds like lasers shooting from a spaceship.

They often roam in their couple, so where you see one, look out for the other.

The male is bright red and flashy, the female has incredible subtle shades of rose, gray and pink.

As many other birds staying up north through the winter, they spend most of daylight hours foraging for food. They put on fat both as an insulator and energy source.
