White / Red-breasted nuthatch
Sitelle à poitrine blanche / rousse
Sitta carolinensis / Sitta canadensis
These two different species look very similar, the white one is bigger.
They both hop DOWN a tree, and in doing so look for insects and food from a different perspective then other birds.
They feed mainly on insects and spiders in the summer, and eat mostly seeds in the winter.
Their song is a nasally ''meep'' sound.
