Nom français: roitelet à couronne rubis
These tiny birds move in flocks through the treetops eating insects.
They sometimes lay as many as 12 eggs!
They rely on the habitat of conifer trees.
Their songs are really high pitched and sqweeky.
The male has a patch of bright red feathers on the top of its head. This colourful crown is hidden, unless he is mating or provoked by a rival or a predator.
