Description ³

This species is up to over 50 inches long; this accounts for up to about 16 inches on the head-hull length, while the tail is at least twice as long. Adult animals are colored green and have fine black speckles. The young and half-grown animals have a brown basic color and three yellowish-white longitudinal stripes on their backs (hence the scientific species name trilineata ).
