Undergraduate biology student, fisheries technician, amateur naturalist, and aquarium hobbyist. I love catching small fish, as all bichirs do. My primary area of interest is the ecology, taxonomy, and biology of freshwater fishes from Africa and North America. I have a particular bias for brown, weird-looking fish that do nothing most of the time.

I have a passing interest in marine life, entomology, and freshwater wetland botany, but my knowledge of everything other than freshwater ichthyology is rather cursory. Please excuse any egregious misidentifications outside that department.
