Large bird of tall stature with tall legs and elongate neck found in end of Bamfield inlet at low tide. Slaty coloured feathers around body and grey feathers along neck. Pair of black plume streaks on top of its white head just above the eyes, yellow bill, pigmented feathers around body, and large size differentiates the Great Blue Heron from other heron species.
