I'm a Ph.D. candidate completing my dissertation on breeding and migration ecology of two declining nightjars that breed in Ontario, the common nighthawk and eastern whip-poor-will. My research interests tend towards species of conservation concern, particularly birds and turtles, and I enjoy identifying organisms that live alongside the species I study. I love fieldwork, and during spring or summer I can often be found topping my knee-boots in a bog.
