I'm a retired naturalist, formally a park ranger, and field biologist with the US National Park Service, and several other state and federal agencies.

I help to curate insect specimens at the Grand Canyon Museum Collection as a contractor:

I have cataloged the butterfly species of Southeastern Utah, and Grand Canyon National Park. I have led butterfly counts on the Colorado Plateau region.

iNaturalist has been an amazing tool. I’m most hopeful that it will help enhance peoples’ connection to the living Earth.
