My first interest is plants. Most of what I know are plants of the Great Plains. I've collected hundreds of plants for Herbaria. I made hundreds of seed collections of native plants for various seed banks. Mussels are my other areas of interest and I'm trying to document them in my area. I've also begun documenting insects on my farm. I catch, chill in fridge, photograph, let warm up, release. The insects may look dead but they are alive and well.
