I love spending time outdoors, my backyard, the forest, where ever… I enjoy learning about the world around me. I am a former Scoutmaster, Eagle Scout, and love teaching “Nature Studies” to our scout troop. My user name reflects my goal of earning our Council Naturalist award. Named for John Burroughs; a recipient must correctly identify plants, animals, insects, fungi, geology, and astronomy. Depending on the level of the Award… the number of plants identified can range from 50 to 300. I use the INaturalist App to help me study and prepare.
