Oh I love these wasps, but they will not keep still for any obliging length of time. Of course it just moved out of frame for the best photo. I found the same wasp at the same time of year back in 2011, but didn't ever get an ID beyond Eupelmidae.

Location: Edge of Bolete corner towards southern end of property. Same area where Entoloma spp. are found.
Probably: Inocybe fuscosquarrosa, which is apparently the correct ID for the Inocybe fibrillosibrunnea that was referred to in Gates & Ratkowsky. (See Mathany and Bougher).

Matches an undescribed sp. on tasmanian spiders website.

EDIT: Upon looking at some literature (https://peckhamia.com/peckhamia/PECKHAMIA_117.1.pdf) I believe this may be a penultimate juvenile from the pavonis group

2nd EDIT: I think the above is incorrect. As I believe I found a male from the same species. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/190562503

Tiny, less than half the size of a M. pavonis.
Some notes on appearance as photos aren’t great.

• brown ‘eyebrows’ with a halo like white crown.
• hairy white palps.
• off Grey down both flanks with white highlights on anterior abdomen.
• White ventral stripe at abdominal tip.

On small decaying eucalypt stump where there were numerous sporocarps at different stages of development.
Their colour varied from blue, muddy brown, and bright orange depending on their maturity.
The second photo captures mature sporocarps collected on the same day.
