Tabanus taeniatus Macquart, 1834 - Identification

Eyes hairy and unbanded. Thorax with two narrow white lines. Abdomen with two broad white sublateral longitudinal stripes which converge towards the tip and end on the 7th tergite.

Common in the Cape, but it has a wider distribution.
